Abstract
Diathermy is a therapeutic modality that uses a high-frequency electric current to stimulate heat generation within body tissues. The application of heat can help with various biological processes, including improving vascular circulation and reducing pain and swelling which may have effects on tissue healing. This project is a review of the literature with respect to the efficacy of diathermy in intervening with tissue healing. If efficacy is found, then appropriate parameters relative to the application of diathermy will be investigated.
