Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between bicultural socialization activities and strategies to deal with racism in a sample of international adoptees from India to the United States. Participants included 82 families who adopted 95 children. The results found that there is not a significant overlap between bicultural socialization activities and strategies to deal with racism. The results suggest that parents may be in denial of the racial issues that may exist for their adopted children.
