Abstract
This study employed a phase one qualitative action research design focused on exploring of the barriers and facilitators facing nurse educators in Saudi Arabia. The barriers facing nurse educators working in Saudi Arabia were identified and classified into three themes: language, culture, and clinical practice limitations. Facilitators were categorized into four categories: support from colleagues, experience, preparation, and being creative. The findings were utilized to create an action plan to improve nurse educators’ experience and minimize the impact of the barriers in teaching nursing in Saudi Arabia. The action plan will allow the nurse educators to recognize and address the barriers in order to enhance their experience.
